Burlington Food Bank's Ride to Provide a Great Success!

The Burlington Food Bank held their 4th Annual Ride to Provide Fundraiser at the Cedar Springs Health Racquet and Sports Club on Friday September 27th. With 90 riders participating in the 2 hour event in teams of 4, this unique fundraiser was successful in raising money and awareness for the Burlington Food Bank. MP Karina Gould, MPP Jane McKenna, Mayor Marianne Meed Ward, Councillors Kelvin Galbraith and Rory Nisan and even TC of the Hamilton Ticats joined in on the fun!The Burlington Food Bank has seen rapid growth in the need for their services and are now serving close to 1000 Burlington residents every month with perishable foods like milk, eggs, fruit and vegetables as well as non-perishable food to those in need. The Ride to Provide was successful in reaching their target of $75 000 raised to go towards serving Burlington families.
